Weee, I've convinced my eldest kid that
Lord Of the Rings, Two Towers is the best thing since sliced bread. She also likes Babylon 5, a young mind corrupted you might say. Now all I need to is get her building PC's by age 8.
Signs we live in an online world,
1. First thing my wife does on waking up? Get a cup of tea? Feed the kids? Power on the laptop to check E-Mail and postings to a board she helps admin? You got it in one.
2. Wife of my best friend stays in contact via MSN.
3. Kids stay in contact with the Grandparents (200 miles away) by Netmeeting.
4. You organise your nieces 18th birthday party via E-Mail and IM clients.
5. You keep friends and family up to date with a Blog.
Oh well, time to start organising a BBQ for the mob (rest of family are coming back from Holiday, we are feeding them). Birk's Hot Chili Lava BBQ sauce on chicken, yum.
To say work is boring is the worlds biggest understatement. It's now 11am, I've been here since 7am, I've done precisely 10 minutes work all morning.
I think my Wife is annoyed at me. The kids went to London Zoo yesterday. I got back at 4pm and must have fallen asleep around 5pm (long day and longer weekend). Get's rudely awoken around 6.30 as the missus comes barging on saying she had been trying to ring me for 30 minutes. I sleep deeply, a phone will never wake me up. A baseball bat may!
Now some important stuff. My middle daughters health problems. I started this 'diary' over a year ago and have not updated it, this is because of Laura mostly. Poor kid was diagnosed with reflux (
GERD) due to a
Hiatus Hernia. This was cured by an operation called
Nissens Fundopolication. This was done two years ago but the surgery, we think, caused a 'kink' in the Oesophagus. This meant Laura can not swallow easily. This in turn has been 'cured' by a
Dilatation. The problem was that this in turn opened the hiatus hernia again. End result, poor kid is only 5 and has to take medication (Dom Peridome) to swallow, Gaviscon for heartburn and industrial strength laxatives. She get's easily bunged up due to a general gut motility problem, the stomach swells, she does not eat, this causes constipation. Fun eh!
